Famine Foods?

Post by peb5048 »

-What do you eat pre/post workout for famine? Since it is suggested to stay away from animal protein and protein powders, what do you eat?

-In famine are you allowed to eat throughout the day as long as it isn't protein?

-What are some suggested meals for famine?

I am 155lbs, so I was thinking of making a meal plan consisting of 1240 calories a day... 155 x 8

It would break down into 15% Pro/ 55% Carbs/ 30% Fat

45g Protein
170g Carb (mainly from Fruit and Vegetables)
41g Fat

First, great work on those macros. I can tell you really did your reading:) Second, I've linked a sample Famine menu/foods for you below. Should help a lot.

Finally, do take advantage of fresh juicing of fruits and vegetable drinks during Famine. I think you'll find the benefits eye opening/refreshing and make Famine a BIT easier!!

Pre/Post

Post by peb5048 »

I was just wondering what good Pre/Post Workout Meals where? This is what I was thinking

Pre (90-60 mins before)

- Salad (Romaine, Spinach, Carrots, Cucumber, Radish, Tomato, Bell Pepper, Onion) w/ Lemon Juice Dressing
- 1 Large Apple
- 14 Walnuts (in Salad)

Post (0-30 mins after)

- 1 Banana
- 1 or 2 cups of Milk/Fat-Free Yogurt

Please let me know if this is spot on or not.
