yea thats the plan. starting saturday morning and through next friday, then ill have carb days on the weekend. since im pretty carb sensitive, i was thinking of just doing saturday and into sunday morning for carbs rather than the full 2 days.
im still having issues of waking up earlier than id like, but the ambien puts me to sleep no problem, even when it seems like i cant clear my head.

Famine Workout #1
I felt really loose and was energized just by the thought of working out for the first time in 2 weeks. I sliced the tip of my finger this morning cutting up the carrots and that ended up affecting my grip pretty significantly, but I still managed to have a decent workout. At the end of my workout and still now it hurts to move my arms even the slightest amount. Feels good
Squat- 95x3, 135x3, 205x5, 195x5, 185x5
Stiff Leg DB Deadlift- 80x5, 80x5, 80x5 in each hand
After doing 185, I wish I didnt drop the weight. I had really good spring in my legs today and it was a lot easier than I anticipated.
Lat Pulldown- 110x10, 190x5, 200x4, 190x2 and 170x3
Seated Cable Row- 130x5, 120x4, 100x5
Preacher Curl- 65x5, 65x4, 55x5
Standing Wide Grip EZ Bar Curl- 65x5, 55x5, 55x5
When I got back to my room, I could see the vein in my biceps for the first time in a while now.

Workout #2
Bench- 95x10, 135x8, 115x8, 95x8, 95x8
Shoulder Press- 32.5x8, 17.5x8, 17.5x8, 17.5x8
Decline EZ Bar Close Grip Bench- 65x10
Decline Skull Crushers/French Press- 45x8
Cable Pushdowns- 70x10
The lactic acid build up had me dying after 3-4 reps. On the last set of bench, I was stuck with the weight on my chest for about 10 seconds before I was able to get the last 2 reps. I had a really quick pump in my shoulders which is why I dropped the weight so quickly for shoulder press. I was still struggling with 17.5, it was kind of embarrassing.

Stick with it youll get stronger plus nobody is watching what you do in the gym EXCEPT you so do not feel embarrassed
I did get embarrassed bad when i was young , being all macho climbed under about 900lbs on the leg press sled..which folded me up like a pretzel i had to wait for like 2 minutes before two guys could pull the weight up...

MSR has been through this before..
I think we all come to appreciate the fact that this one step back yields two HUGE steps forward during Feast and sometimes more even during Cruise/Solidification.
Really, when you think about it it's like life itself. I dont' want to go all Zen on anyone but looking back.... that's how it's always worked for me.
I'd LOVE to make linear progress. Looks so nice on paper and logically, you'd think that's how it would work.
I've come to look forward to famine, believe it or not. Difficult but necessary exercise in mental and phsysical health. I do believe too, there is a spiritual element to it.. Probably why "fasting" is so frequently associated with religion(s) around the world.
Whatever your take is on it, it really is a positive thing. I've come to embrace it....

Stayed up late last night and got roughly close to 8 hours of sleep
Breakfast is 2 tbsp banana peanut butter and some of the veggie drink
Lunch was PBJ with whole grain bread, 2 tbsp peanut butter, and about 1 tbsp grape jelly. I also finished off the veggie drink.
dinner was 2 pbj sandwiches with 4 slices whole grain bread 3 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsp strawberry jelly
I actually felt good and almost refreshed this morning, but as the day drags on im feeling more and more run down.
