OK folks, Mix had comprehensive blood work (health related, not hormone related - yet) done after being on ONLY MPS for 2 months. Dosage was 5-5-5 on training days and 3 caps, 3x daily before his biggest meals on off days.
Was neither bulking nor dieting, just zig-zagging calories as outlined in 3.0's Re-Comp template.
On with the show!!!
Blood Pressure: 120/70*
Fasting Glucose: 88 Reference range was 60-109
BUN: 16 Reference range 9 - 25
Creatinine: 1.2 Reference range 0.7 - 1.5
Alkaline: 88 Reference range 30 - 125*
Phosphates
Bilirubin: 0.5 Reference range 0.2 - 1.5*
AST/SGOT: 29 Reference range 0 - 33*
ALT/SGPT: 40 Reference range 0 - 45*
Cholesterol: 150 Reference range 140 - 199*
HDL: 54 Reference range 35 - 80
LDL: 86 Reference range 0 - 129
LDL/HDL Ratio: 1.60 Reference range 0.9 - 5.3
Triglycerides: 47 Reference range 0 - 150
COMMENTARY
"Pristine" in the words of Mix's Dr..
Compared to his last panels, this was a significant improvement in many areas. For example, worth noting that blood pressure of 120/70 was AFTER downing 60mg of ephedrine hcl/200mg of caffeine. Mix attributes this mostly though, to more consistent cardio.
Fasting glucose was brought down a bit, something he can only attribute to MPS's glucose disposal agents.
Alkaline Phosphates and Bilirubin are your primary markers for liver stress. These numbers also improved, no doubt to RCE's profoundly positive effects in that area.
AST/ALT are crude markers of tissue damage, usually as a result of training. Mix ALWAYS score high on these, so much so his Dr. has a note in his file this is to be considered "normal" for Mix. MPS to the rescue again! First time EVER, it kept his AST/ALT levels in check.
Cholesterol of 150. This was the BIG one, as last time, Mix scored 227 for total cholesterol! RCE is known to lower total cholesterol by virtue of its effect on bile secretion, among other mechanisms. The question in Mix's mind was always, "OK - but which does it lower more? HDL or LDL"? Now we know - the LDL or "bad" cholesterol....
LDL (bad cholesterol) Mix brought his score down to 86. Last time, Mix scored 124!!
So there you have it folks, Synthagen (at least for Mixelflick) is an absolute BOON to not only performance, but his health as well.
Couldn't be happier for him ...
