Greetings all,

I've been digesting the info here and in the BP pdfs over the past week or so. Ready to start jumping into Famine Saturday morning. Normally, I'd sit back and say...one more weekend, let's kick this off Monday. That kind of thinking however will not get me where I need to be. First day completely off in 3 weeks, time to get this going.

Age 33. Coming back to training after a hard 2 years of personal/professional mayhem.

Goals: recomp, strength gain.

Supplements.
Keeping this really simple to start with, just the basics I have on hand to start.

Fish Oil
multi
BCAA
ZMA and GABA (sleep is important)

OK man, welcome aboard!

If it's really been that long since any time off, I'd HIGHLY suggest taking one full week off. During this week, your objectives are twofold;

1.) Establish your average, daily waking heart rate (beats per minute) - BEFORE getting out of bed and,

2.) Establish your average, daily caloric maintenance intake. Best done at livestrong.com.

With these two numbers in hand, you'll be better able to gauge Famine and Feast progress, tweak it to perfection and start "fresh". I know it's hard, but it pays BIG dividends down the line...

Hope that helps...

I'll heed your advice. Haven't trained in a week, but I do suppose work stress and everything else adds up.

Time to start counting.

Yes, never underestimate the effects stress can have.

I learned that the hard way, btw... :)
