Wow just made one of those shakes! Pure awesomeness! What a much better way to enjoy my protein shake and load in the calories. I made #12 from that link (milk, protein powder, PB, bananna).

Feast Workout #4

6-8 reps

BB Bench - 165 x 7
DB Pullovers - 45 x 8

EDT Block #1
Incline DB Press - 50 ea
BB Rows - 115
- total of 6 sets. Reps went (7, 7, 6, 6, 5, 5 ) each for a total of 71 reps.

BB Squats - 160 x 8
SLDL - 135 x 8

EDT Block #2
BB Curls - 75
Overhead BB Tricep Extension - 55
- total of 6 sets. Reps went (8, 8, 7, 7, 6, 6) each for a total of 84 reps.

I should have upped my EDT Block #2 weights last workout. Not sure why I looked over that. Final workout I will make sure to up them.

Overall, I am feeling great. It is amazing the pump I get from this workout. My chest and arms look and feel amazing after working out. Naturaly, I am not very vascular, but I have been seeing nice veins in my forearm and bicep lately.

As far as changes, I notice my upper body (lats, chest) do seem to be fuller and looking larger. I know my weight hasn't changed too much, but I will take a final picture along with measurements on day 30 or so to compare.

I am going to incorporate an ab routine on my off days from now on. Weighted cable crunches, along with some other small exercises.

Glad to hear you're seeing progress! That's what keeps me motivated. The mirror and the results.

Subbed and will be watching this.

Thanks guys!

Day 20 Feast

Question, I am doing workout #5 today. The book says "WORKOUT #5 Attempt new 1RM" Is the new 1RM on the big lifts (bench, DB pullover, squat, SLDL)? I would assume I do the EDT block workouts normal.

Attempt your 1RM for the bench and squat. For the two stretching exercises (db pullover and rdl) you should do you 5RM. I got that out of the book, so you should be good to go.

Feast Day 21

Weight 163 (+2)

Since I am at day 21, I am going to taper my calories again. Going to go down to 2700 or so.

Didn't get workout #5 in last night, as my spotter was unavailable. Instead, I just did a shoulder/ arms workout since I was itching to workout. Felt as great as always!

Forgot to post this from the other day.

Feast Workout #5

1RM

BB Bench - 200 x 1 PR
DB Pullovers - 55 x 5

EDT Block #1
Incline DB Press - 50 ea
BB Rows - 115
- total of 6 sets. Reps went (10, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7 ) for DB Press, and (8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8 ) for BB Rows for a total of 95 reps. Huge increase!!! (from 71 reps workout 4)

BB Squats - 200 x 1 PR
SLDL - 145 x 5

EDT Block #2
BB Curls - 80
Overhead BB Tricep Extension - 75
- total of 6 sets. Reps went (6,6,6,5,5,7) for Curls and (5,5,5,5,5,7) for OH Press for a total of 67 reps

Wow where to begin. My prior bench max was 195 last winter, and I was using a pre-workout caffeine supp, which I felt gave me a substantial increase in all my lifts at the time. When I stopped using it, my lifts did go down, and never peaked again until now. Not to mention the time off lifting I took to do P90X. Now, just using my ECDY, i was able to succeed that!! Wow. My only problem was the bar was about 1" from my chest during the 1RM, but none the less.....awesome.

For squats, I never focused on heavy squats for some reason before. I think 180 was the most I ever repped on the bar. My 1RM of 200, I felt like could have been maybe 10 lbs more. I had full range of motion and everything.

Even my EDT block #1, my reps increased by 24 total reps between the two exercises.

I think I am on day 25 of feast, and I am going to continue for another 10 days at least. I go on vacation Labor Day weekend, so that may be a good stopping point. We will see how it goes.

My only complaint thus far, is that it took me 25 days to do 5 workouts. Maybe all the rest is what helped me feel so strong. I will focus on just 2 days max rest on the next workouts.

I will have to re-read some of the book to figure what workouts to do next, as it is a little fuzzy.
