spotters with squats actually make me nervousUwbodybuilding wrote:Nice squats but get a spotter next time. That's scary! Lol
those are bumper plates in the video, worst case scenario i throw the weights back and drop onto my knees..
lesson #1 i was taught for squatting: How to fail a rep without injuring yourself

i know i know.. lolRobRegish wrote:Awesome stuff man, awesome stuff.
Now do insert those rest days...
oh and Rob, something came to mind earlier.
Once i'm done with 10% solution, what are your thoughts onto taking a week off and jumping into GLP? Or do you think something with more volume would be more effective immediately following such a high intensity low volume program?

Thanks Cookie.DaCookie wrote:Man you do some beastly squats
Good luck with the 500
I just happen to have the perfect build for them
My legs are quite short (my inseam is 30" on a good day) and i have some good knees on me, so it works out to my advantage.
You can get there too, just attack your squats from every angle.
Do your overhead squats (i ALWAYS warm up with these) I honestly think these are a super overlooked Gem. They improve flexibility so much and really improve your ROM
Front squats, back squats - it ALL helps immensely.
Maybe I should try that cause I have really bad flexibility. For now I just want to focus on bench/squat/deadlift as a whole and throw in a few other good excercises around them.Get my size back up to where it was after my first run or even further and the same with strength. Then maybe recomp or something.

give them a try - be wary on using weight though. i just use the bar as its pretty hard to balance and if you slip you can have a very easily torn groinDaCookie wrote:Maybe I should try that cause I have really bad flexibility. For now I just want to focus on bench/squat/deadlift as a whole and throw in a few other good excercises around them.Get my size back up to where it was after my first run or even further and the same with strength. Then maybe recomp or something.

AMAZING workout today!
I felt like i was on it, so i just went for it. Needless to say, my intuition was correct. Not only did i achieve my previous goal (425x3) I smashed that shit!
Workout was as follows:
Dips: BW+100x3 SS Pullovers: 90x3
Squats: 430x3 SS SLDL: 315x2 <--- OMG!
Only had time for one EDT block:
Chins: BW x 6/6/6/5/5 (One rep improvement over monday)
Elevated Pushups: BW x 8/8/8/8/8 (These were almost TUT reps, so i definitely got a good feel from them - will bump up reps again on monday)
Overall i am extremely satisfied with this workout. The "tires" are starting to get traction, and i am moving forward greatly. Unfortunately the video i recorded for today is too large to email from my phone, so when i figure out how to upload it, it will be here.

Sweet and I saw your nolinksplease.com posting too so thank you for the nice PR
Now one thing to keep an eye on... frequency. Don't hesitate to keep inserting rest days where needed. That is THE key from here on out for you. Thus far your intuition is spot on so I'm not worried. Just realize that the solution will be found in modulating frequency first, perhaps tapering workload later on if need be.
Otherwise, enjoying this ride immensely!
