lower back felt terrible again.
lower numbers for leg press in EDT probably due to higher total tonnage in the squat sequence. so i came back in the evening and did another EDT.

I'm not going to be adding weight to the statics for awhile as I think I would do better holding this weight for longer periods of time and eventually adding a half inch or so to the range using my chains to adjust the bar height.

I felt confident and strong today. And I'm glad I caught up with my log.

I do em on one knee, alternating knees.

The reason why I do this movement is multifold, but primarily to protect my shoulder joints after doing an already shoulder taxing loading pattern with the bench press. I find very little stress on my shoulder.
Second, this movement seems to translate better for my judo training. Because of the strength I've developed from this movement I've been able to literally push much larger opponents over my head when in my guard (imagine pushing a baby overhead); this comes as quite a shock to them to say the least. Not exactly a skilled move, but it works :)
Thirdly, Rob highly recommended this movement for guys who are also training for a sport or martial art for reasons mentioned before.

Most guys in the gym look at me like I have ten heads when I do this in my edt block. They also look at me strange when I do static holds.

- Again, wrist wraps are amazing on these statics.

- Tried a few tablespoons of tart cherry extract in water instead of cherry juice, definitely taste less sugary and I experienced no sugar crash like with the cherry juice. I'm starting to get the feeling that if MPS's formula were updated at any point, then a cherry extract might make sense, IDK.

- I completed EDT blocks and statics in the evening, but only because I got to the gym a little late today.

Thursday, 8-23
warm up was as follows using only 25 lb plates:

1) 45 lbs - 4 x 5
2) 45 lbs - 4 x 5
3) 95 lbs - 4 x 5
4) 145 lbs - 4 x 5
5) 195 lbs - 4 x 5

Lately I'm thinking of programming the nervous system as well as pumping blood into the muscles. So i'm working with simply staying within the rep range of the loading pattern for that day, even during warm up. Seems to work great, although I felt like the work sets would have been a tiny easier had I stopped at the 4th warm up set and gone straight to 200 lbs.

BENCH PRESS

200 lbs. 4 x 5

EDT
Jammer Press 60 lbs./Chin Up 50 lbs: 6/6, 6/6, 6/5, 5/4
4 min rest
time = 17:44

Lying Pullover - drop sets

1) 105 lbs. x 3 ➔ 95 x 3 ➔ 85 x 3 ➔ 75 x 4

supplement note:
As my MPS and AN are basically down to one bottle I'm going to try some cheaper options very soon. I think AN is great, but as my knoledge increases I'm now weary of using DHEA, especially since I'm under 40... I don't see any good reason... good product though.

There's a bioforge knockoff thats cheap with good ingredients and I've been eyeing muscle pharm's products, some of which look descent. We'll see.
