"Rob, would it hurt to do HIIT every off day?"

A. No, but take note of this: Like any other intense form of exercise... be on the lookout for how or if it impacts your recovery ability. Thus, my recommendation to mix LISS in here and there. Once the brain and/or body become bored.... bad things happen.

That's what Mix said anyway.. :)

I just started GLP and am doing a 1 on / 2 off pattern. I like routine and regularity, and I think I would adapt better to getting up extra early in the AM and hitting it hard every day that I won't be lifting (usually lift in the PM after work).

Also, I have been drinking a casein shake before bed every night. I haven't seen anybody talk about that on the BP boards so I wonder if maybe that's barking up the wrong tree, and putting extra fat on me... thoughts?

A. Majoring in the minors as I see it. Your muscle won't disappear overnight. There's a reason mother nature needs that break. If fat loss is your game, why not look into GammaGH to jack up GH another 400/500%?

You sleep like a rock too. That, according to "The Franchise", BTW.

edit: is anyone doing the slow-carb diet for lean mass gaining on BP, is this a reasonable thing to do, with high protein intake? I want to do it in general because I've read that it's way easier than the CKD to handle and that it drops fat really quickly... does anyone know anything about this?

A. "Slow Carb" diet? First time the 3 Faces of Fear(tm) have heard of that one....

Aware me :)

heh been a few days since updating here...

just did legs workout #3 for GLP. going to shift to a 1 on 1 off pattern here because if I continue with 1/2 then it's gonna take another month and a half to finish GLP, which isn't going to work with my ecdy supply :P

lifts have been going well in general, I can tell I'm getting stronger. I don't know that I'm accumulating that much more muscle mass, but that's OK, got enough to make me happy for my first BP run. I just started loading with creatine mono and will continue to use that through the end of cruise, up til my next Famine.

only issue that has cropped up presented itself today - my hands being too damned weak to hold onto the barbell while doing my RDLs. I gotta get a pair of those lifting gloves, going to look into it as soon as I post this.

I've been doing HIIT on off days, got some ephedrine on the way, been drinking a lot of disgustingly dark espresso, eating less calories... midsection fat is on the way out.

Rob, the slow-carb diet is more or less the eating of legumes instead of carbs... lentils, beans, etc. So, meat, eggs, legumes, veggies, good fats in moderation, with one "cheat" day where you're supposed to calorie binge for an insulin spike. I guess that's the equivalent of CKD's weekend carb-up. It's supposed to work as well as CKD. oh and no milk, apparently it has a high insulinemic response, similar to white bread.

I think I am going to go on it for Cruise, with calories above maintenance. I was going to wait until after, but hey, I wanna turn around and do another BP run! That, and my gf wants to do it too, and she's chomping at the bit, doesn't want to start without me, so, yeah.

life is good :D

been awhile since I updated!

weight: ~160lbs
1RMs:
BP 150
SQ 215

so I started BP at ~145lbs and gained 15lbs, 4 or 5 of which have been during Cruise. that's pretty awesome.

Today is #7, upper, of GLP2. I have been doing GLP2 for Cruise, 1 on 1 off, intending to go into Famine once GLP2 is complete, and then do Russian LP for that next Feast period, with 10% after that.

for me GLP2 is more difficult than GLP1 in terms of making my reps for BP. I usually find myself really going all out to get that last one in, which must be a good thing.

I have been doing the following sets for GLP2:

BP & pullovers

shoulder dumbbell press @ 40lbs. each & yates row @ 145lbs.

tricep static hold @ 195lbs.

today I am going to switch to trisets with yates row, arnold press, and barbell shrug. that should be suitably brutal.

I've been taking ashwagandha extract along with the usual flax & multi, that's one of the ingredients in Ebol; saw it in the health food store and figured it might help recovery. who knows if it is, but, can't hurt, I figure.
