If you took grapefruit with oral AAS would it increase its half life aswell?Or is it only stimulants?

Can the grapefruit trick be applied to anything?

Sooo... Im looking for some tips on grapefruit juice taste...

I juiced up a nice big grapefruit last week and it was so bitter I couldnt even drink but a few sips... I had a full 12 oz worth of juice and just couldnt get it sweet. Put like 4 or 5 splenda packets in and it didnt seem to budge the taste....

any suggestions?
I still have 2 left and I want to use them this week and then get some more this coming weekend....

The ones I have are yellow... so might have to get a different kind?

Yeah, yellow are the tartest. Try red, or pink. Still, a little water and sugar can allow you to easily down the yellow, and you may get to like it.

I never saw the bathroom problem rob spoke of, but most of the grapefruit I had was pink or red.

There is some evidence both improve absorbtion of oral androgens when co-administered.

GF JUICE/NARGININ + ANDROGENS AND ESTROGENS

ROB'S EDIT: The compound in GF juice we're really talking about here is naringin... and as little as 250 mL of grapefruit juice can change the metabolism of some drugs. Which is why you see the warnings related to such on certain Rx drugs (such as heart medications). I've seen these same warnings on my Grandfather's prescriptions...

For example, Merck, the manufacturer of Mevacor was aware of the dangers of grapefruit juice with Mevacor. They went so far as to submit a new product monograph (prescribing information) to Health Canada - which includes changes related to grapefruit juice.

Given estrogens mimic androgens in many respects, it was a solid bet they too, may be potentiated...In fact the study that follows this supports that conclusion..

The effects of grapefruit juice on the bioavailability of 17 alpha-ethinylestradiol (EE2) after a single oral administration of 50 micrograms EE2 have been investigated. The pharmacokinetics of EE2 were studied in an open, randomized, cross-over study in which 13 healthy volunteers were administered the drug with herbal tea or grapefruit juice (naringin, 887 mg/ml). In contrast to herbal tea, grapefruit juice increased the peak plasma concentration (Cmax) significantly to 137% (mean; range 64% to 214%, p = 0.0088) and increased the area under plasma concentration-time curve from 0 to 8 hours (AUC0-8) to 128% (mean; range 81% to 180%, p = 0.0186). This study shows that grapefruit juice increases the bioavailable amount of EE2. A possible explanation may be that grapefruit juice inhibits the metabolic degradation of EE2. Whether the increased bioavailability of EE2 following grapefruit juice administration is of clinical importance should be investigated in long-term studies.

GRAPEFRUIT JUICE AND + ANDROGENS (cont)

It apparently does the same for Viagra. See here:

https://www.aegis.com/files/catie/2002/tu125.pdf

Researchers in Koln, Germany, conducted a sudy using 24 healthy HIV negative male subjects whose average age was 29 years. The men received a glass of grapefruit juice on an empty stomach and then one hour later another glass of grapefruit juice with viagra 50mg. Blood samples were collected over the next 24 hours. a week later the experiment was repeated with water being substituted for grapefruit juice.

Results

Researchers found that the absorption of Viagra increased by 23% when taken with grapefruit juice instead of water. grapefruit juice also delayed the absorption of Viagra. This latter point is important because Viagra is supposed to be taken one hour before sex and taking the drug with grapefruit juice may result in disappointment for some users of viagra.

DIETARY FAT + ANDROGENS

Important effect of food on the bioavailability of oral testosterone undecanoate.

STUDY OBJECTIVE: To assess the effects of food on the bioavailability of testosterone undecanoate, testosterone, and 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) after administration of a new oral testosterone undecanoate formulation, Andriol Testocaps. DESIGN: Randomized, open-label, crossover study with a 1-week washout period. SETTING: Clinical pharmacology unit. SUBJECTS: Sixteen healthy postmenopausal women. INTERVENTION: Single oral doses of testosterone undecanoate 80 mg were administered either during a fasting period or after consumption of a standardized continental breakfast. MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS: Serum concentrations of testosterone undecanoate were assayed by liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry detection; testosterone and DHT were assayed by gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detection. Serum concentrations of testosterone, testosterone undecanoate, and DHT were low to negligible when testosterone undecanoate was administered to subjects in a fasting state; these values were significantly higher when the test drug was coadministered with food. For testosterone, the maximum serum concentration and area under the plasma concentration-time curve were 0.67 ng/ml and 5.37 ng x hr/ml, respectively, in the fasting state, versus 10.7 ng/ml and 56.4 ng x hr/ml, respectively, in the fed state. The same parameters were also significantly higher for testosterone undecanoate and DHT in the fed versus fasting subjects. CONCLUSION: Food increases the bioavailability of testosterone undecanoate, testosterone, and DHT. For proper absorption, Andriol Testocaps must be taken with meals.

ROB'S TAKE: I have ZERO practical experience using androgens + GF juice/dietary fats. I can tell you that when Methyl 1-test was legal, it sure as hell didn't matter if you took it with fat/narginin.... or nothing at all.

It likely is dependent upon the androgen in question and the individuals unique ability to metabolize the given drug. Since I've deemed the risk/reward ratio unacceptable (even with the legal androgens still available here), I consider this a moot point.

Your mileage may differ. If I can offer only one thing: Please work with your Dr. on this. We already know methylated androgens tax the liver, drive down HDL (good) cholesterol etc.

Better to know what's going on and catch it early vs. finding out too late. Some have died (Andarol users) from making that mistake. To be fair, many more don't.

Again, see this for what it is..... a risk. Only you can determine if the potential rewards outweigh those risks. I don't do the scare tactics thing. I do the tell it like it is thing - so here are my final thoughts on the matter:

If you're anything close to 16-25 years of age and considering oral androgens, contact me first. Because it's unlikely your hormones are holding you back given that age range. It's far more likely something else.

Something I can help you with....

My OPINION: You're better off with Narginin (see above). China sells a lot of bulk material:

https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... google.com

Please don't go to China for ANYTHING ('cept fortune cookies). I wouldn't even do that. You'll likely break one only to find melamine inside :)

Instead, try getting your hands on the flowers/squeezing out the peels or this place (And no, I haven't used them):

https://www.vitaminmd.com/home

I'm in need of squeezing things right now, so I personally favor the peels lol...

QUICK! WHAT country created the fortune cookie!?!?!?

You might be shocked!

The UNITED STATES! It WAS for chinese companies selling chinese food, and probably conceived after the eggroll, but there was REALLY NOTHING chinese about it!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortune_cookie

GRANTED, wikipedia leaves it in doubt, but it makes perfect sense that it would be created in California. There are a lot of chinese people there, and a lot of restaurants that catered to Americans that traditionally wanted a dessert, or at least something to clean their palate.

HEY, here is an interesting story:

https://www.hanascape.com/aboutus/fortun ... index.html

Anyway, I really have to believe that the chinese want to get rid of waste, make a lot of money, have kids, and limit the worlds population, and they see sending us their waste as a good means to that end.

Does it matter what colour the grapefruit is?The one ill be drinking is yellow/golden if that matters.Fresh juice, not concentrate.
