You are tolerating Famine well. I'm envious
This warrior diet approach is effective. I workout a bit earlier in the day so I eat my meal by 200 and I'm stuffed till about 5 then hungryish until about 9 when super hunger sets in lol
I just feel like I'm almost having too many calories. I'm at a bit less than 8x bw though
Is the more important part of famine the calories or the lack of protein?

Calories. The combination of the two though.... in conjuction with the training is what allows us to get it done in just 5 days.

Definately abnormal. BUT, don't stress out about it.
What's your resting heart rate doing? That'll be another sign. It's still early...

Average is around 55 or 58. In terms of my bw I think it could be related to my carb and sodium intake yesterday. And time of weigh in. I was fasted and post cardio yesterday and today I had a banana, apple, and some cherries plus water, etc before weigh in.
I'm not too concerned. Tried rice today instead of pasta, and diet v8 fusion juice instead of regular v8. See how things look tomorrow! Ill post a more in depth update tomorrow

so i feel like i ate alot more volume today. but i ended up right around 1500 calories which is a drop less than yesterday, we'll see how bodyweight is tomorrow after my fasted cardio.
diet consisted of the following:
12 strawberries
1.5 banana
2 apples
1/2 bottle v8 fusion
1.5 cups brown rice
2 vegetable skewers
1 grapefruit
1 low-carb tortilla
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp evoo
4 rice cakes
1 cup cherries
I'm pretty sure that was all. overall more volume, but slightly less or just about the same calories. I did, however, consume this over time as opposed to all right after my workout.
My training today was as follows in a superset fashion
WGBP: 215x10
Shoulder Press: 45x10
rest 1 min
incline BP: 185x8
Shoulder Press: 45x8
rest 1 min
Weighted Dips: 45 lbsx9
Shoulder Press: 35x9
rest 1 min
CGBP: 155x8
shoulder press: 35x7
Rest 1 min
Skullcrushers: 75x10
rest 1 min
Cable Pressdowns on lat pulldown bar: 70x10
rest 1 min
Cable Pressdowns ... """ """ : 70x9
followed by 20 min walking uphill on the treadmill.
the increased intensity level of this workout was quite a challenge!

Rob, do you have a link to a good BMR calculator? I have jumped around on my thoughts for what mine is, and im honestly unsure.
My guess is right around 2100, but i am not sure.. im 19, 5'10" and 195 lbs, what do you think?
My goals for feast are gonna be the following:
120% cals first 3days, then 100% on training days and 70% on off days, plus i will be doing LISS on off days as well as training days
so for the first week it'll look like:
120/120/120/100/70/70/100 and so on
and in terms of nutrient breakdown for feast i was thinking:
40%pro
40%carb
20%Fat
How's that look?
so assuming a 2000 calorie diet that would make: 200g protein, 200g cho and approx 50g fat give or take.
Would you recommend a different program if i want to train every other day as opposed to using two days of rest?
Man i'm full right now! phew feels good to eat. but i want meeeaaat AGH

i never understood those online calculators, i thought LBM, etc was a big part of it.

so i gave it some thought about my heart rate and it hit me why my readings were jumping all around. i have a HR calculator watch and i went from using that to calculating it myself and got things along the lines of
74 then 52 then 58 then 52 then 48 then 84
it totally slipped my mind that i have an irregular heart beat! i spoke to a cardiologist about this a few years ago, and apparently its common in athletes and perfectly safe.
So, im gonna run to a couple pharmacys today and find some multistix
what color reading am i looking for?

weighed in today BEFORE my cardio and i was 194. that's 3 lbs ligher than yesterday and the same weight as AFTER my 40 min cardio on tuesday, so i think im moving in the right direction.
plus i haven't used the bathroom yet, that's another solid pound (or so it seems to be thus far!)
