The Louisville Slugger hits it out of the park...
Wow! Great find and Corny's commentary didn't disappoint.
I loved Corny and MXpress back in the 80's. Nobody was smoother and Corny did a great job talking for Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton. That was a terrific team and they absolutely tore up the mid-atlantic area, drawing huge money.
The recent picture of Dennis Condrey though, is disturbing. Hell, pics of Condrey in his prime were disturbing.

Man it's awful. It just comes across as very packaged and "corporate". Even TNA. You're lucky if you can suspend dis-belief once a year now.
Back when Flair's plane crashed he was rushed to the hospital. Wahoo McDaniel broke kayfabe to go see him (they were feuding at the time on TV).
The hospital staff tried holding him back when he arrived because they thought he was coming to finish Flair off!

That's a classic story, and 100% legitimate.RobRegish wrote:Man it's awful. It just comes across as very packaged and "corporate". Even TNA. You're lucky if you can suspend dis-belief once a year now.

Jim Crockett Promotions of the NWA, at least to me, was as good as it ever got.
There is an absolutely amazing story surrounding the whole plane crash where Tim Woods (who was on the plane) made an appearance TWO nights later in order to keep kayfabe alive.
Those guys were made of mighty strong timber, believe you me.
