rickhard's BP Questions/Journal

Post by rickhard7 »

Hey I'm starting the blueprint today and wanted to open up my own thread where I can use to ask questions, concerns, and log some gains. Just a little background information on myself: Been lifting for 5 1/2 years, looking to use BP to cut fat and gain strength, and I currently weigh 180 lbs. I just finished up my finals in college and used that week to prepare myself by not going to the gym for a week. Today marks my first day into the famine. I have read over the .pdf many times but am still very confused so expect me to ask a lot of questions ha... Does anyone know any website or program I can use to log my diet? Also would it be better to eat my vegetables fresh or can I steam/cook them? What size v-8 should I drink daily during the famine? I am looking to drink only v-8 and eat fruits and veggies during this time.

Well I finished my first workout and took the warrior's diet approach for today. I had a v-8 fusion and an apple before my workout and was pretty drained. I'm gonna eat 1000 calories worth of fruits and veggies right now and probably have another v-8 before I sleep.

Geez, WD on Famine. That is hardcore!

I'm getting back on that BTW. I think it offers great "punch" when rotated with traditional bodybuilding eating patterns.

Something to consider and I believe, signficant indeed. I'd love for you/others to toy with it too at some point in another BP run. I'm starting with a 3 day WD/3 regular day premise and going from there.

Think it holds great promise!

I'm on day 4 of the famine and I was just wondering for the feast I am not suppose to work out the first 3 days correct? I'm trying to get some supplements such as protein, bcaas, e-bol, tbol trib, and some kind of creatine. Do I start taking these the day the feast starts? Also after the first 3 days if my goal is to cut some body fat then what should my diet look like (I was 180 pounds before i started the famine)? Lastly, for the first 5 workouts should I do them every other day?

You want to rest, eat and sleep the first 3 days of Feast. You'll also begin your Ecdy, etc on the first day.

Since you're goal is recomp, consider rotating 100% of calories on training days and 70% on non-training days. The exception is the first 3 days of Feast where you should be eating 100% all 3 days.

And for sure you do NOT want to perform those 5 workouts of Feast for 5 straight days. Please see this post for clarity:

Hope that helps!
