Brown Rice on famine?

Brown Rice on famine?
Just was wondering if Brown Rice is OK for famine? I am around 210 lbs so I should be taking in 1680 calories according to the template. BR is a good source of carbs, but has little protein(1 gram I believe), so figured this would be OK for famine or is it too complex of a carb and I would be better going with apples/oranges instead for carbs since they are simple carbs?
