Glycobol?

Post by doolee »

Special on it approaching, and was wondering Rob and John's take on the product. Similar to KA (ingredients not sure about quality), and from a decent company IMHO.

Na-R-ALA 250mg
Glycobol Complex™ 750mg
Trigonella Seed Isolate (Standardized To 10% 4-Hydroxyisoleucine), Phellodendron Extract (Standardized To 90% Berberine), Cinnamon Bark 20:1 Extract (Standardized For 16% Flavonoids), BMOV (Bis-Malto-Oxovanadium)

I recognize the 4hydroxy which I loved in KA, and the Cinnamon Bark. Currently dieting if that makes a difference.
Is this supposed to increase Glycerol/glycogen synthesis/storage? Was surprised that the product wasn't actually a GMS/glycerol type product.

No adaptagen kinda throws it out the window for comparison...so imo no point to compare

Yea definitly not an apples to apples comparison...

Id break Kreanabolyn down into 4 products or 4 parts essentially..

Creatine: kreaalk
Nutrient partioner: 4-hydoxy
ecdy: RCE

and ldopa..

so I think he was comparing the nutrient partitioner part of the supps..
but if that was the case.. glycobol is a better nutrient partitioner seeing as tho that is the products focus..

In this case it does.. considering that Glycobol contains the same ingredient as Glycobol but Glycobol ALSO has Na-R-ALA which is actually the main ingredient and a proven Nutrient partitioner.

good discussion here, wish i understood more about these compounds

How do partitioner work? Is it related to insulin or mimicking insulin response at a given time?

It is actually advertised as being an insulin mimetic

here is the part of the writeup discussing the main ingrediant

Sodium R-Lipoate (Na-r-ALA)
ALA is naturally produced in the body as a mitochondrial enzyme cofactor. It is important to aerobic metabolism. ALA has been suggested to increase cellular uptake of glucose to cell membranes by recruiting the glucose transporter GLUT4.* ALA improves skeletal muscle glucose transport, resulting in desirable blood glucose disposal and increased muscle glycogen concentrations.* (1) Studies also suggest that in muscle, ALA is a potent anti-oxidant which protects cells from oxidative stress-induced insulin resistance.* (2) The ALA used in this formula is chemically stabilized and of high quality.* It's one of the most active isomers and one of the highest efficiency salts commercially available.* ALA is an invaluable addition that offers a multitude of benefits plus countless extras for any serious athlete.*

Funny enough, I woke up at eight, went to class, and it was sold out by the time I got back to the dorm. I feel defeated.
