When you're done your famine, I want to discuss some things with you. I have some ideas about famine and how it may be different for women, but I'd like to discuss them with another female before presenting my thoughts to Rob :p
So last night I got out of work SUPER late and didn't get a chance to do workout #2, so I did it this morning. The burning KILLED me, so I think the famine may be starting to work. However, I did the multistix test last night and it said I wasn't. So I'm unsure. Maybe when I retest tonight it will tell me different.
Here's the workout:
(not including warmup sets)
SUPERSET: incline db bench/seated db shoulder press
bench: 30x10, 10, 8, 8
press: 15x10, 8, 8, 4 - couldn't finish last set so I dropset with 10s for another 4 reps
skullcrushers: 30x10 - was a little too light, should've went heavier
cable pushdowns:5th plate x10 - little too light also
db overhead tricep ext:25x10 - these were awkward, I've never done them before
incline db tricep ext:15 (each hand) x7 - these were EXTREMELY awkward, I bonked myself in the head with them on the first rep, and I looked like a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man while doing them :p
So, frustrating workout, but I'm assuming that's the goal here.
I never realized how much I loved cottage cheese and greek yogurt until I wasn't allowed to have it. Eating is SO ON this Saturday.
Same staple supplements still, until end of famine:
★Controlled Labs Orange Triad multi/joint/digestion, Oximega fish oil
★Applied Nutriceuticals Osteobolin-C cissus
★Nature's Science Calcium Citrate + Mag & D
★NOW Vitamin D3, ginger root
★VS garlic allacin
3rd/final workout of famine tomorrow!

No way, F that! Workout 3 is so on tomorrow morning.RobRegish wrote:Wow. Now do take heed:
If you feel sick, off or just not right - STOP. This isn't just liability talk, OK? You can't get traction during Feast if you take Famine too deep.
Do not in the least feel bad about it either. PLENTY don't require workout #3. You might just be one of them....

So I DID IT, but not without tweaks, haha.RobRegish wrote:OK, looking forward to your feedback
I was supposed to only rest 30 seconds in between sets but it ended up being a minute or more each time. I also couldn't finish my sets for the 3rd or 4th set of the supersets. I miss my Xtend! Here's the workout:
legs/back/biceps
(not including warmup sets)
SUPERSET: squats/one arm db rows
squats: 75x12, 12, 7, 8
rows: 25x12, 12, 8, 8
bb bicep curls:45x12 - was very surprised by this, this was a PR for me
incline db bicep curls:10x12
standing db bicep curls:10x12
This workout was weird because my biceps actually felt stronger than usual, haha. But the rest of me was in a sad sad state. Woo famine!
Multistix still not showing protein excretion as of this morning. Oh well. Forgot to do my heart rate when I woke up, so I will do it tomorrow morning before the EPIC BREAKFAST.
Protein foods smell and taste SO GOOD after famine, it's unreal! at least it was for me... Eggs, ham, milk, etc. breakfast --> hummmmallieninja wrote:Oh well. I know, I'm so psyched. I can't even read forum threads about protein powder today, because my mouth starts watering lol.bigpelo wrote:Protein foods smell and taste SO GOOD after famine, it's unreal! at least it was for me... LOL. Oh how the protein cravings start day 3 no?
Whatever they take away from you for any period of time (especially carbs), your brain craves. They're not even essential (like amino acids and essential fatty acids) yet, take them away and your brain starts SCREAMING for them...
I find it fascinating, personally. Know what the recitivism rate is (or however you spell it, it = failure) of lowfat, low calorie diets?
How about 90+%?
You'll be reading a LOT more about that in 3.0 BTW...

Haha well the food pic got erased, and no way am I putting up a picture of my belly after today's eatin's! Dinner was a BBQ feast from the takeout bbq joint. Brisket, roast, pulled chicken, and pulled pork, all slathered in BBQ sauce... corn and spinach, and a mini corn bread. YUM.RobRegish wrote:Pic of the belly or the food?allieninja wrote:So, epic breakfast didn't look so epic, but it was epic to my tummy. Took a picture but my phone didn't save it, oh well. Protein pancakes, bacon egg and cheese sandwich... 840 calories. I need a nap after that.
I'd love either one
