Protein Digestion

Post by kboy69 »

Just curious, is there a limit on how much protein the body can absorb? For example, if I have to consume 400g per day, that's almost 70g per meal. Any thoughts on this?

Hani makes a good point, but generally speaking it all depends on the sources during the meal, among a number of other factors with source quality being a biggie.

A mixture of fast like, say, a MASS PRO shake with eggs (medium absorption time) and steak (slow) will allow you to absorb a lot from a single meal in optimum fashion.

Alkaplex Green caps with the above is a smart move, too.

I think it's smart to always think of spreading out protein feedings as a rule, in addition to high protein "meals".

The smart athlete incorporates is between meal protein snacks as a rule.

The old adage about it being easier to drink high protein than eat it is as true today as ever, and that is where something like MASS PRO shines.

Another old school trick is to eat a dozen hard boiled eggs a day, one every hour. That and a thermos of high concentrate MP transports easy and between the two pile up your daily protein stats.

The Fast Mass course on our site goes into a lot of these type practical tips which can be rotated for variety.
